Nestled amidst the Tungareshwar forest range and enveloped in lush greenery, PadmaShri Vaidya Sureshchandra Chaturvedi ji founded Arogya Niketan in 1967 as an Ayurvedic Medical Centre to serve the local tribal population of Gokhivre village in Vasai Taluka. For over 50 years, this Ayurvedic dispensary has dedicated itself to aiding the underprivileged in the area with the utmost humility, embodying the spirit of service to humanity and Ayurveda.
In recent years, Arogya Niketan has evolved into a contemporary Ayurvedic health facility, now featuring multiple consultation rooms for doctors, a Panchakarma center, a physiotherapy facility, an Ayurvedic medicine store, a research and study room, a yoga hall, and tastefully decorated rooms for in-patients, along with numerous other amenities.
